about

In C is a bright summery instrumental that is offset by some darker lyrical content. The intro starts with the 'feeling its all messed up' line, which is about a sense of loss/despair or disillusionment with ones life or direction. This is reflected in the music in the intro which is a little more dark and mysterious. The drop shortly after the intro really brightens up the track. The sensation of being high helps relieve the disillusionment that is referenced in the intro and as a result the track takes on a much more positive feel. The song goes between the darkness and brightness theme. It is left ambiguous as to whether the sensation of being high is from a drug or from another person (love). The outro shines a little more light on the how down (blue) the protagonist is feeling and how dependant they are on the sensation of being high to get them through it.

lyrics

So What
Feeling its all messed up
Messed up
So What
Feeling its all messed up
Messed up
Feels so high
Feels so good
I feel it too I’m into you I’m into you
Feels so high
Feels so good
I feel it too
I’m into you
I’m into you
So What
Feeling its all messed up
Feeling its all messed up
Messed up
So What
Feeling its all messed up
Feeling its all messed up
Feels so high
Feels so high, high
I feel it too
I’m into you
I’m into you
Feels so high
Feels so good
I feel it too
I’m into you
I’m into you
I’m feeling blue your feeling it too
