We have been inspired a lot lately by artists such as Daft Punk, Air and Tame Impala. We’ve always both enjoyed disco music but we wanted to find a way to put our own spin on it. The beat came together first, and then we laid down chords. Vinay recently purchased a Roland TB 303 Acid Bass Synth. After we’d created a melodic sequencer on that, all the other elements came together fluidly. We love how the synths sound, the vocoder style effects and the bass blend together. We tried to incorporate some more modern sounds as well, so the track has a really nice feel of old and new. It's our version of disco music in the modern world.
